Cost benefit analysis of sea urchin fishing techniques

This report is a continuation of the previous URCHIN report (Sea Urchin Fishing techniques, Nofima Report 15/2016) which described the various fishing techniques available worldwide. The current report gives a generic cost/benefit analysis for the various fishing techniques in the NPA and makes recommendations on the optimal fishing techniques in each country. Report_8-2017

Sea urchin trapping publication

The publication titled ‘Efficiency of trap type, soak time and bait type and quantities for harvesting the sea urchin Strongylocentrotus droebachiensis (Müller) in Norway’ has recently been published and provides extensive information on the trapping trials undertaken in Northern Norway.
